After spending time seeking God's direction for their lives, Dave and Charmaine McCabe were led to Camas, Washington, to pioneer Grace Foursquare Church. Beginning in the Camas High School choir room on the first Sunday of February 1982, the church grew little by little and step by step. As the church grew and began meeting in different locations to accommodate space needs, it became apparent that it was time to plan for a permanent home. The land that we are currently located on was purchased in August of 1988. Because of faithful giving and God's miraculous help, the land was completely paid for thirteen months later.
Construction on our original building (South Auditorium) began in January of 1991, and the first service in the building was held in July of that year. Soon after the doors were opened, it was evident that God's plans were bigger than had been planned for! More and more people found their lives being changed at Grace Church, and three additional classrooms (located in the South Wing) were ready for use by November of 1992.
Continuing to seek God's plans and catching His vision to influence Clark County, Grace purchased the three acres of property to the north of the building to make room for new growth. We knew that there were many individuals and families in our communities who needed to know God's love and grace! Because of this, new facilities were constructed in 2004. New classrooms, offices, and a new auditorium for worship added 20,700 square feet of new space at Grace.
In 2014, we completed an expanded lobby and added 4 additional classrooms (located in the East Wing) to accommodate our growing church and children’s ministry. We then added a multipurpose gymnasium on the South East part of our campus. Our hope is to have a building with multiple worship and teaching venues in order to best serve our church and community.
As we continue our journey, Grace Church is committed to "loving God by becoming authentic, credible followers of Jesus". We are completely dependent on the leading and guidance of the Holy Spirit.
