monique handall

Monique Handall serves tour Northwest District as the MultiEthnic Ministry Coordinator. She helps identify  and develop the immigrant and non-majority culture churches and leaders. 


Monique and her husband Yaseer also have the joy of serving as FMI Mission workers to North Native American Tribes, in which most of them are located in the Northwest and Southwest of the U.S. Prior to that, she was a high school teacher in an at-risk, diverse community for 18 years. She and her husband also proudly served the Hispanic community of San Bernardino, CA as pastors for nine years.

They have two sons, Aidan and Aharon, daughter whom they fostered since the age of thirteen, Cathleen and a new daughter-in-love Savannah (married to Aidan).

matt messner

Matt Messner is a pastor, consultant, leader, teacher, and coach. For many years Matt ran at an elite level as a distance runner, competing in the Olympic Trials in the marathon in 1996 and 2000. He enjoys all types of outdoor activities, especially surfing. 


Matt earned his B.A. at LIFE Pacific College, an M.A. from Fuller Theological Seminary and a D.Min. from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (Leadership Skills for the 21st Century). Matt met his best friend and partner in ministry, Heidi Wilson Messner, while at LIFE Pacific College and they have been married for 32 years. Heidi serves as a Regional Coordinator for the Foursquare Church. 


Matt has published three books (Ascend, Friendship Leadership, and Advent Encounter) and loves coaching leaders. He has a blog at www.mattmessner.com.

heidi messner

Heidi Messner has been married to her best friend, Matt, for 32 years. They have two married children and two grandchildren. In her spare time, she enjoys writing, traveling, doing outside activities such as paddle boarding, and fixing up her 1920's historic home. 


She is a Regional Pastor in the Western District of Foursquare overseeing churches in California, Utah & Nevada. She and her husband served as the Lead Pastors of Eureka Faith Center for the past 12 years. She has served as the Area Superintendent of the Redwood Area, Co-Chair of the C.U.R.E. [Council for Unity, Restoration, and Engagement], she has also served on the District Council, the National Church Committee, chaired the Ethics Committee, and started WIML, a Women in Ministry Leadership program for female pastors and leaders in the Central Pacific District.

She has a B.A. in Pastoral Ministry from L.I.F.E. Pacific University, an M.A. in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Multicultural Issues from Northwest University and has taught classes at Northwest University, Fuller Theological Seminary, North Coast Bible Institute, Everett Community College and businesses throughout the Puget Sound.
