Our story so far

After spending time seeking God's direction for their lives, Dave and Charmaine McCabe were led to Camas, Washington, to pioneer Grace Foursquare Church. Beginning in the Camas High School choir room on the first Sunday of February 1982, the church grew little by little and step by step. As the church grew and began meeting in different locations to accommodate space needs, it became apparent that it was time to plan for a permanent home. The land that we are currently located on was purchased in August of 1988. Because of faithful giving and God's miraculous help, the land was completely paid for thirteen months later.

Construction on our original building (South Auditorium) began in January of 1991, and the first service in the building was held in July of that year. Soon after the doors were opened, it was evident that God's plans were bigger than had been planned for! More and more people found their lives being changed at Grace Church, and three additional classrooms (located in the South Wing) were ready for use by November of 1992.

Continuing to seek God's plans and catching His vision to influence Clark County, Grace purchased the three acres of property to the north of the building to make room for new growth. We knew that there were many individuals and families in our communities who needed to know God's love and grace! Because of this, new facilities were constructed in 2004. New classrooms, offices, and a new auditorium for worship added 20,700 square feet of new space at Grace.

In 2014, we completed an expanded lobby and added 4 additional classrooms (located in the East Wing) to accommodate our growing church and children’s ministry.  We then added a multipurpose gymnasium on the South East part of our campus. Our hope is to have a building with multiple worship and teaching venues in order to best serve our church and community.

As we continue our journey, Grace Church is committed to "loving God by becoming authentic, credible followers of Jesus". We are completely dependent on the leading and guidance of the Holy Spirit.

We are committed to "loving God by becoming authentic, credible followers of Jesus". We assume this posture of discipleship by actively pursuing a growing relationship with Jesus Christ, intentionally participating in community with fellow believers, and boldly witnessing to our community and world.

With this mission in mind, Grace Church works to create environments and avenues which will encourage and equip people in their discipleship journeys.

our values

We value the Word of God.
God's Word is active and alive. We read it and live it out daily.
Isaiah 55:11, James 1:22

We value people.
We believe that every person, Christian and non-Christian alike, is valuable to God and to His Kingdom. People are more important than things, programs, or goals and are never to be “used”. Because people are eternally valuable to God, they are valuable to us as well.

Romans 12:13, 1 Peter 4:9, 1 John 4:7, 1 Thessalonians 2:8

We value worship.
We are committed to engaging in corporate worship to honor God and unify the body of Christ.
Psalm 99:5, Psalm 100:4

We value pursuing spiritual growth.
We are committed to pursuing a lifestyle of consistent spiritual growth and honest accountability.
1 Peter 2:2, Proverbs 27:17
We value releasing individuals into ministry.
Our goal is to recognize, equip, and release leaders into ministry.  We are all ministers who have been given gifts to be discovered, developed, and deployed. We have been created for ministry, gifted for ministry, authorized for ministry, and we are needed for ministry.
1 Corinthians 12:14-20, Ephesians 2:10
We value serving our community.
The local church is the hope of the world. We desire to love and serve those outside the faith in practical ways.
Matthew 5:13-16
